Care oxygen concentrator

Please note some important information when handling the oxygen concentrator:

 

Cleaning the oxygen concentrator
The device must be cleaned regularly with a slightly damp cloth. No flammable materials such as nitro thinner, spirit, oils or fats may be used to clean the oxygen concentrator. Use a little detergent on a slightly damp cloth.


Change of material
The oxygen concentrator needs to be changed once a month. The following points must be taken into account:
• Rinse the coarse dust filter (the foam mat) with water and let it dry for 1 month, insert a dry replacement filter.

Dry nasal mucous membranes
Dry mucous membranes manifest themselves in the nose feeling blocked or painful and dry. Nosebleeds also indicate dry mucous membranes. With oxygen therapy, these symptoms can occur
occur more frequently. In this case, a moisturizing, fat-free nasal ointment should be used.
 

Safety regulations
When the oxygen concentrator is in operation, the following objects must not be near the device or the patient:
• open fire
• burning cigarettes
• Burning candles or Rechaud candles
• Gas cooker
• etc.


The oxygen concentrator must not be operated in the bathroom. It should be operated in a dry environment. Also next to fireplaces or dusty environments is not recommended. Because it has to suck in a lot of air. Also always make sure that it is approx. 30 cm away from a wall. Please do not cover the device with cloths or similar objects. It needs enough air to cool.
